Your role and responsibilities:

In this critical position, you'll be responsible for performing measurements on photonic wafers and dies, which form the building blocks of Xanadu’s Fault Tolerant Quantum Computer. Your keen eye for detail and technical aptitude will ensure the integrity of our operations. The chosen candidate will be comfortable working with a mix of sample types, in a variety of sample carriers. You will engage with Test Engineers and Photonic Designers to effectively execute test plans which acquire thousands of measurements. Attention to detail and drive will be critical attributes while working in a highly challenging and dynamic environment pursuing measurements beyond the state of the art.

The position is expected to be filled immediately.

Required Qualifications and experience:

  • College diploma in Engineering, Science, or related relevant field
  • 1+ years experience working in a laboratory environment with optical and/or semiconductor testing
  • Working proficiency of Python programming and familiarity with Jupyter notebooks
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus on repetitive tasks
  • Ability to follow complex instructions and adhere to strict protocols
  • Time management skills and capacity to meet deadlines consistently
  • Perform regular data entry and validation with a focus on accuracy and detail
  • Monitor system performance and conduct thorough checks to ensure optimal functionality
  • Execute standardized technical procedures meticulously to maintain system integrity
Preferred Knowledge and Experience:
  • BSc degree in Engineering, Science, or related relevant field
  • Experience with material handling units and wafer loader systems
  • Familiarity with a range of wafer handling hardware
  • Experience of working in clean room environments.
  • Experience in control charts and FMEA
  • Proficiency in python data processing libraries like Numpy and Pandas

Given the nature of the primary duties and responsibilities of this role, it is an essential term and condition of this role that the core hours of work will involve an evening shift schedule of Monday to Friday from 3 p.m. – 11 p.m., subject to change to meet company needs.
